LOCATION
Conveniently situated on the edge of the village, we’re only five minutes walk to the harbour. With no need to drive through the narrow streets to reach us, you’re ideally located to explore the local area. Harbour View is situated on a hill which gives us great views over Mevagissey Harbour and a chance to walk off those cream teas!
ABOUT MEVAGISSEY HARBOUR
Mevagissey Harbour was established in 1430 as a medieval quay. The inner harbour was constructed in 1774 and the outer harbour in 1888. In 1891 the great blizzard destroyed the outer harbour which wasn’t rebuilt until 1897. Mevagissey harbour is one of the very few double harbours in the UK.
Today Mevagissey harbour is run and maintained by Mevagissey Harbour Trustees who are a registered charity. There are approximately 60 fishing boats working from the port which makes Mevagissey Harbour the second largest fishing port in Cornwall.
